Yes, but if you only have the swap method for playing backups then DVD9's won't work, you'll need the DVD5.

Yeah, but why use something that isn't free? It's easy to just crack Alcohol 120%, but that will just increase you're odds of possibly picking up a virus. IMGBurn, has all the features that you will need except a virtual drive, but you should use Daemon Tools for that anyways.

I personally prefer VirtualCloneDrive. It's pretty easy to use. But i agree, don't use Alcohol. I've tried it before, and it works, but IMGBurn is better, at least with all the media i've burned so far (Which is pretty extensive  Tongue)

answers to ur questions in order:

1. Nero sucks, don't use it

2. If you set the write speed above 4x, there is a good chance (alomst inevitable) that ur system will not read it. Just do as Beast says.

3. No, they are not. Not going into specifics, just use DVD+R or DVD-R only.

I'd guess your image file was damaged/ incomplete. Go back and double check the .SFV and make sure it's 100%. It you still have the burn problem, it maybe the original image is broken, but that's unheard of.

Do you even have a DVD burner? That looks just like a DVD-RAM drive, which only read's and doesn't write.

DVD+RW does not work with PS2, only DVD+R or DVD-R. Once again, as i've said this once already, DO NOT USE DVD+RW!!!

1. download the fucking game again (yes again, do it anyway)
2. use quick par/rapid crc to check for file error, if none, move to step 3, if there is try to repair, if it doesn't, POLITELY reply to the post of the game that you are having problems with the files. There may have been a problem with the upload.
3. right click the .oo1.7z file (the first one, not including the .sfv file) and select 7zip, and then select extract here.
4. you should get an image (.iso) file.
5. If you are planning to use on a playstation console with ESR, use Memento to patch, then burn using ImgBurn @ 1x speed, if you have a modded PS2, just burn, you don't need the patch, if you are planning to use an emulator, you don't need to do anything (at least for PCSX2)

NOTE!!! If you do not have a modded ps2, or ESR loaded onto your card, you WILL NOT be able to play the burned games. Sony put a safeguard on the ps2 that will not allow them to play burned games, you just get a screen that says "Please insert a playstation format game" and you won't get to play it.

Yeah, that's an original scene rar so you should check the .sfv file with RapidCRC, since it came with the o-rar.

This error that you are getting looks like a hardware error, to make this easier post the log here.

Go to:
Help>ImgBurn Logs...

Then copy the log details for the day which you tried burning the game, the newest details should be at the bottom.
